Newly formed in 2021, this is a Sheffield-based coalition group gathering power in opposition to the Policing, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill (or Policing Bill). It would grant the police enhanced powers including stop and search, limit rights to peaceful protest, criminalise trespass, target the traveller way of life, criminalise our communities and impose long prison sentences. It’s a Tory government attempt to silence the public, as a vindictive response to the Black Lives Matter and Extinction Rebellion protests.
