Gut Level
Visit Gut LevelGut Level is a Sheffield not-for-profit DIY music and arts space, in the city centre, open to members 5 days a week. It includes a roof terrace that houses a community garden project, Wet Patch. In terms of community organising and co-working they have a focus on encouraging voice and vision, and building skills/networks in under-represented groups. Gut Level was founded in response to the lack of club-ready DIY spaces in Sheffield and in this individualistic world, they hope to create a community in which people can share skills, support, inspiration … and dance!
They offer a cheap, multi-use events/bar/social space with DJ equipment for grassroots creative activities.
Equal pay to all artists and DJs regardless of their following.
The events line-up usually includes music gigs, club nights, workshops, co-working, spoken word and more.
Note this licencing law: Everyone must be a “Member” to attend, because Gut Level is legally a “Club” (in fact it’s an inclusive members space that anyone can join for as little as £2 per year) so sign up before buying tickets, via the Gut Level website.
