There is a vacancy at Lembas, the large wholefood/vegetarian/vegan wholesale co-operative based in Heeley. They are recruiting for a Production/Warehousing Co-op Member. The post is 32 hours per week, normally 7.30am-4.30pm, wages £12.21 per hour.

Lembas started in 1983, and also operates a high street shop, Down To Earth, at 406 Sharrow Vale Road. Unlike employees at a “normal” (capitalist) company, all members collectively own and run the business. Like many co-operatives, Lembas has no management structure. Everyone is equal and expected to contribute, regardless of their main role, becoming multi-skilled. The current membership draws from a wide range of backgrounds, personalities and work history and the co-op is stronger for it.
