Sheffield Co-op Members Catch-up
The Co-operative Group is different from other supermarket chains, it’s not simply ‘ethical’ for marketing purposes. With co-ops, membership means (shared) ownership. It has a 100-strong elected National Members’ Council to represent the views of members and shape what the Co-op focuses on. They run online consultations but this is a live event. Sheffield members are invited to come and give views and feedback, sample the latest products, and learn about the benefits of Co-op membership and the UN International Year of Cooperatives.
Also there will be stalls from two of the local causes that the Co-op has supported; The Link Community Hub and B:Friend. And there’s a free raffle with a chance to win a bag full of Co-op treats.
