This year the internationally acclaimed Fearless Cities summit, first hosted in Barcelona in 2017, will be coming to the UK for the first time, hosted in Sheffield and coordinated by Opus. It is an international municipalist movement to support “connections between cities, organisations, communities and citizens who are building new public commons, and deeper forms of local democracy and care across the world”. The summit will have a programme of speakers, panel sessions, workshops and assemblies for citizens, organisations and communities, on these themes:

• “Neighbourhoods of Care”
• “Municipalist Futures”
• “Rethinking Governance and Local Democracy”
• “Reimagining our Commons”

Please note the Friday event will be an evening gathering for those travelling to Sheffield a day early to meet each other and other local activists.
