A thought-provoking display of photographs reflecting complex journeys into and out of modern slavery. The exhibition addresses the problem of how anti-trafficking images often stereotype and re-victimise the people they are trying to support. A collaboration between photographer Jeremy Abrahams and Migration Research Group academics Hannah Lewis and Gwyneth Lonergan, working with anti-trafficking organisations Ashiana, City Hearts and Snowdrop.Note the times are Monday – Saturday: 8am – 8pm and early finish Sunday: 8am – 6pm. Also there are Audience Workshops in the Carpenter Room, Central Library, Surrey Street (nearby) on Saturday 22nd September: 12 – 1pm, Tuesday 25th September: 12 – 1pm, and Wednesday 26th September: 5.30pm – 6.30pm.Free to attend, part of the 2018 Festival of the Mind.
