Details A vibrant performance of poetry and music by Kweku Sackey (Sheffield-based frontman of Afrobeat group KOG and the Zongo Brigade) using traditional instruments to explore the impact of British colonial rule and missionary activities on childhoods in Ghana. Followed by a discussion between Dr Afua Twum-Danso Imoh (lecturer in Sociology of Childhood at the University of Sheffield) and Kweku Sackey, focusing on their own childhoods in Ghana.
