Festival of Debate Closing Party: 100 Years of Women's Suffrage

The closing party for this year's Festival of Debate celebrates 100 years of (some) women's right to vote. Helen Pankhurst, granddaughter of Sylvia and great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst, will do a Q&A based on her book, Deeds Not Words, with Dr Kate Taylor-Jones from the University of Sheffield. This will be followed by poetry sets from the Ted Hughes Award-winning Hollie McNish, Salena Godden, poets from the Verse Matters Collective, and music from Before Breakfast & Girl Gang DJs.Please note: Entry to the venue is available to people aged 14 and over. People aged 14 and 15 will be allowed into the venue under the supervision of a responsible adult. I.D. may be asked of both parties so please have this available to avoid disappointment.Facebook event page
