Sheffield Campaign against Climate Change AGM

All are invited to the 2013 Annual General Meeting of Sheffield Campaign against Climate Change (SCACC). Nominations are invited for the Committee - if you would like to find out more about the roles, please contact The AGM will be a short meeting followed by a guest speaker around 6.30pm, and a chance to ask him questions and discuss the issues raised: Duncan Clark, journalist and co-author of "The Burning Question: we can`t burn half the world`s oil coal and gas. So how do we quit?". Carbon emissions are still accelerating upwards ... tackling global warming will mean persuading the world to abandon oil, coal, and gas reserves. What mix of politics, psychology, economics and technology might be required? This book makes sense of the biggest challenge of the century. Venue opens 5.45pm for prompt start at 6.00pm.
