Details A ground-breaking collection of writings to stop violence against women, held as part of the Sheffield Rising initiative, supporting the global campaign One Billion Rising www.onebillionrising.org which aims to promote awareness about violence against women through a variety of creative activities. Works by world-renowned authors and playwrights, including Tariq Ali and Jane Fonda. Edited by Eve Ensler, the founder and director of V-Day and The Vagina Monologues, and Mollie Doyle. Performances have been described as inspired, funny, heartfelt, tragic and beautiful. Reading by a community cast of local women and men, starting 7.45pm (doors open 7pm). Suitable for age 16+ audience.
