Sharrow and Nether Edge get garden sharing ...

News Apr 2010

Can you imagine a world where everyone has access to locally-grown organic fresh food on your doorstep? Why not let somebody else grow food in your garden and share what's produced?

The new SHNEDGE Gardenshare project in Sharrow and Nether Edge will increase the amount of locally grown vegetables. These schemes are starting up in many other parts of the UK (Totnes, Bath, Brighton, Cambridge etc) usually through the Transition groups. The Landshare project started by Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has also emerged from this need, (http://landshare.channel4.com) as a web-based scheme in which people identify themselves as growers, owners etc and then contact the appropriate people themselves, but that's a national project with no local feel to it.

If you’d like to offer someone growing space in YOUR garden, email gardenshare.shnedge@fsmail.net or phone/leave a message: Jerry 07976 313642
