Rotherham needs moderation
News March 2010
Rotherham Freegle is looking to recruit some new moderators. All work is voluntary, and unfortunately there are no perks to the job, no staff discount, or the chance to get items before they are listed on the site, just the satisfaction of keeping items out of landfill and being part of an expanding community. If you have a few hours of spare time, could this be the job for you? They don't expect you to be glued to your PC all day, we all have lives. You don't have to work every day, no rota system, just work when you can, and sort of know when each other is available. Regular access to the internet is a must. You must also be willing to use Firefox and install the program to help moderate messages. You don't need to be a computer ace, but having some basic knowledge is helpful, and a good command of the English language, they don't use 'text' talk. You must also live in Rotherham.
Rotherham Freegle is a locally-based alternative to Freecycle, enabling people to keep household goods out of landfill by giving away things they don't want, to people who can use them. Rotherham also has a Freegle Café Group for members to chat.
If you feel that you could offer some time to Freegle, good communication skills and a sense of humour, and would like to become part of the team, please apply. Tell a bit about yourself, and why you think you would be a good candidate for the job.
