Say No to Biofuels in Sheffield?

Biofuels, they sounded like such a good idea ... but sadly it's not always the case. A planning application for a biofuel power station in Ecclesfield (north side of Sheffield near the M1) presents many problems. It could use palm oil, with disastrous impacts on rainforests, food supplies, ecosystems and communities in the global South, not to mention air pollution in Sheffield.
Bio Fuel Watch presents the case against, including a sample letter to object to the planning application. Urgent action please because a decision is likely in January.
