Solar PV opportunity

News January 2012, deadline April

A Sheffield-based company called Energy Jump is trying to get a scheme going to bulk buy solar PV panels and get them installed and fully certificated before the government's April 1st deadline. (After which all properties with PV must have an Energy Performance Certificates of C or above to qualify for the 21p/kWh tariff level). They need customers to allow the bulk buying to take place and believe they can get a 7-10 yr repayment level. As a quasi-social enterprise they will be donating a proportion of profits to local and international energy efficiency charities, including South Yorkshire Energy Centre. Installations would be completed in February and March. Obviously this is a tight schedule, but the more people sign up for a PV system through the community buying scheme, the better discounts they will be able to negotiate.

If you have any questions about the scheme please get in contact with Rob Samuelson or Alison Wren on Sheff 2541288 or email alison@energyjump.co.uk Website: www.energyjump.co.uk/community
