Wind farm - victory!

Ulley in Rotherham is to get a windfarm. The Sheffield Star said "officers in Rotherham are behaving beyond their responsibility by speaking out in favour ... to despoil our countryside and hang the cost to future generations"
But despite this nonsense and a large local opposition the decision has gone in favour of the windfarm. Is the tide turning? Wind energy seems to bring out "not in my back yard" (NIMBY) views - until people actually live near one, and find it's not too bad in reality.
