New performance by Third Angel, which was established in Sheffield in 1995. A "conspiracy-theory documentary-exposé detective story for the 21st century that asks: what aren’t you looking at?"

Suitable for ages 12+, running time about 1 hour and 20 minutes (no interval). Various performances, evening and afternoon, including some audio described, signed, captioned, and talkback session. See the link below for full details and booking.

Course: Sheffield Activism - Rebellion to Cold War

Thu 17/24 Jan - Thu 28 Mar 2019, Voluntary Action Sheffield (The Circle), 33 Rockingham Lane, S1 4FW

A course on Sheffield´s long history of people´s activism, run by the WEA (Workers´ Educational Association). Tutor (and activist) Nigel Slack will cover the period 1500-1950 in this series of 2-hour sessions.

NOTE you can choose 3pm or 6pm start time. Fee £87.50, all details on the link below, including downloadable full course information sheet. The course is suitable for beginners or improvers, no pre-reading is required.

"Making Space"

22 Jan-Sat 9 Feb 2019, 10am-6pm weekdays, 11am-4pm Sats, New Roots, 347 Glossop Rd. S10 2HP

An exhibition about squatting, trespass and housing direct action, by Sam Burgum, researcher at the University of Sheffield. Alternative radical histories of property ownership and protest from the Magna Carta to current day activist campaigns, well worth a visit.

(New Roots is a volunteer-run, non-for-profit community shop. It also features ethical local and Fairtrade products, organic fruit and veg, vegan and gluten-free refreshments, and activity space).
