Lantern Procession

Sat 13 Oct 2018, 5.45pm, from Cooks Wood Road, Burngreave S5 8XB

The Friends of Parkwood Springs present this seasonal community event, it includes food stalls and drinks available.

The procession with big illuminated lanterns sets off from the car park on Cooks Wood Road. Free to attend. Bring a torch and warm clothes - and bring a friend!

There are lantern-making workshops preceding this up to 11th October (details online here).

GLOBAL FRACKDOWN CARNIVAL

Sat 13 Oct 2018, 2 venues, central Sheffield

As part of a Global Gasdown / Global Frackdown Day Of Action, action, unity and resistance for a frack-free future. Come and share, learn and play. Organised by anti-fracking groups from across South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Help raise crucial awareness and funds for the campaign.

2pm-4pm MASS RALLY at Barkers Pool, Sheffield City Hall steps

4pm-6.30pm SHARE/LEARN/PLAY, at DINA, 32 Cambridge St. S1 4HP

Free to attend (donations welcome).
